Harmonic Means was founded in May 2021 by lead singers, Katherine Gabriana and Ryan Stever. The name stems from their love of both mathematics and music.

From the very first time they sang together, Katherine and Ryan recognized the harmonic potential of their voices and personalities. In addition to their vocal match, they also found their love of instrumental harmony. The duo likes to co-write songs under Gabriana-Stever productions.

The singers were later joined by Harrison Selwitz and Jim Peek. Harrison plays lead and rhythm guitar, and contributes original guitar solos to the band’s music. Jim Peek plays bass and likes to arrange various basslines.

While the band loves writing original songs, they also perform cover songs from various musical genres. Their musical taste includes rock, ballad, country, and metal.
